Thailand: Day 3

We spent our first morning in Bangkok at this place.
The architecture is incredible. Just see for yourself...

The King's Palace has been the official residence of
the Kings of Thailand from the 18th century and on.
Although the present King does not not live here.

* A very special thanks to Stacey for helping me with some blog techniques.
She really is the best at blogs. Check hers out.

Thailand: Day 1 & 2

At this moment we had no idea what we were in store for.
We did however know we were ready to leave the cold weather behind
To submerge ourselves in a new culture and unfamiliar world.
.....Thailand.....

Needless to say after 2 days of flying...
(okay so 20+ hours but two days with the time difference)

We were tired
but filled with excitement
and curiosity.

(Although we mostly look tired.)
Days 3-12 to follow shortly

A rhino for Rhino

I used my friend Jon's birthday as an excuse to
start drawing.
It had been quite a while since I finished a project and was nice to have some motivation.
His nickname is Rhino so that is what I drew.
A rhino for Rhino.

4 days...

In 4 days this will be me and Shalane.
My whole life I have wanted to ride an elephant.
In 4 days I am going to.

She's Home!

My cousin Shalane is home from her mission.
& I am so happy.
We have been best friends since we were little,
We are 1 month and 1 day apart.
She is amazing.
I would probably be jealous of her
if she wasn't my cousin.
I can't wait to go to Thailand with her
in one week.

Love you Shalaney! I missed you so much!

Isn't this the sweetest picture.
What a proud Grandpa.

Sleeping on the couch

Last night I was told of some,
disturbing news.
My mother and sister had discovered
a mouse in my room.
I immediately felt crawly, itchy
and violated.
Poison had been placed in
the corners of my room.
The posion made me feel uneasy.
I stayed up late making sure I would fall
asleep as soon as I laid down.
Today my dear father put mouse traps in there.
I have avoided my room as much as possible.
Knowing that at any moment I may hear a
--SNAP--
makes me completely queasy.
I may be irrational
A scaredy cat
and even childish
But I don't care, tonight I am
sleeping on the couch.
