Batter Blaster

Scott and I love Walmart!
We especially love going late at night.

I don't know why but we always think it's fun!

One night while we were there,
we were picking out some eggs and noticed
what looked like a whip cream can.
~Except this was not whip cream can!~

It was

We immediately knew we had to try it.

Organic ConvienetEasy.  Basically no mess.
And we knew it had to be delicious (at least we hoped!)

When we got home, we showed Stacey.
She told us that she almost bought it but didn't.
She was excited to try it out too!

It really is delicious.  And easy.  And everything you can think of!

We haven't made waffles yet,
The pancakes are great though!

Seriously, next time you're at the store,
you need to get some!

Brazillian Blowout

I heard about a new treatment from my friend
Katie Wood

It's called a Brazillian Blowout and it
straightens your hair for up to 12 weeks.

It leaves your hair smooth & frizz-free!
And let me tell you, it has been wonderful!

When I get out of the shower,
I blow dry it (and it takes half the time as before)
And now I can quickly flat iron it
(instead of spending 20 minutes trying to flat iron every piece)

My hair is so soft
& It looks so much healthier.

I highly recommend it!

Here are my before and after pics:

Jeep - Sold!

I've had a jeep for almost 4 years and I have loved it.
I decided it was time for something new.
This is my last picture with it,
Good-bye Jeep!

{P.S. Please notice my Hanson shirt. I love it!}

I had an interested buyer from St. George,
He wanted to meet up in the Costco parking lot,
Luckily, I had this guy with me.

We hung out in my car for the last time for about 5 minutes
Before the guy got there.

We met the guy at 12:30 a.m.
He drove my car around the parking lot once,
got out, I gave him the title, he gave me a cashiers check
And that was it. SOLD!

The next day, he called to ask if the car had ever overheated.
On his way back to St. George the water pump went out.
They made it to Fillmore, spent the night there
And had it fixed the next day.

Bad luck for the guy but good luck for me!

Hanson

In High School my friend Melissa
re-introduced me to Hanson
(Yes, the MMMbop Hanson)

And I have been in love ever since.

When I found out they were coming to SLC,
I knew I had to go.

So to The Depot we went!

You may or may not know this,
Hanson has a wide variety of fans.

Every shape and size,
every age (but you had to be 21 at this venue)
and every gender.

This is a good example of that.

This guy was one of the opening bands.
His name is Cameron Rafati.

He is crazy.

He told me I look like the rabbit from
Robin Hood.

That's a compliment, right?

{P.S.  Don't mind me closed eyes}

The Hanson brothers are seriously so talented.
They performed a couple of songs acoustically and they were
amazing!

Besides this crazy jumping, shirt waving girls we were pretty much
the only fans that were dancing at least that we could see.

We danced and sang and had so much fun!

If you ever get a chance to go to a Hanson concert,
Take it.  You will not be disappointed.

And another side note:

If you ever go to The Depot,  get a coke
and they ask you if you want it open or closed,
they are talking about your tab.
Not if you want a lid.

Luckily, Melissa figured it out and saved me asking the
Lady to repeat it for a third time.
Because that would of been real embarrassing.

California

California was so wonderful,
We had so much fun!

These are the only two pictures I took.

This strawberry stand had the best strawberries ever.
Seriously.  Ever.

We LOVED them and ate so many while we were there.
Our favorite way to eat them:

With granola and chocolate peanut butter.

Before we left I knew I needed some to take home.
Luckily, we got there right before the last 2 pints were gone.

It was heaven.
Heaven in Strawberry form.

Friday the 13th...

If you read my last post, you'll know that getting my
Gallbladder out yesterday was quite the surprise.
{I knew it would need to come out soon but not the next day}

It had never dawned on me that it would be,
*Friday the 13th*

I slept at the house where I was house/dog sitting
Shay slept there too.
I showed her the ropes.

In the morning I drove back home to meet Shelly.
Stacey, Pearl and Violet were awake.
They mad me the most beautiful card.

I was so glad I got to see them and hold Violet for a minute.
And give Pearl a really tight hug.
She gives the best hugs!

Shelly and I left for the hospital.

The woman at pre-registration, yesterday, told me that it was
A slow surgical day and they were trying to fill slots.

I didn't think anything of it.
I thought this was just a smooth, smooth way to have it done.
Meet with the surgeon and have it out the next day.
Smooth and fast and great.

And it was.

Yesterday morning, my sister Shelly came with me
To register for my surgery.

She left to go for work and I waited in the waiting room
For about 2 minutes.

The nurse brought me back and showed me my
Lovely purple hospital gown.

I changed and a few minutes later,
She came back in.
{I had every intention of taking a pic but everything happened so fast}

She had a few papers for me to sign and date.
That's when I realized it was
-Friday the 13th-

I told her I had changed my mind and that I would
Just reschedule the surgery.

It was a little joke but she didn't find it very funny.

She told me that it was just a superstition and
That everything would be okay.

I said okay.

A few minutes later two other nurses came in.

One to put on compression stockings and
The other one to put in an I.V. and
The previous nurse to check my vitals.

There was a little probably with the first I.V.
She hit a valve.

I started getting faintish.
My palms got sweaty.
And I turned as white as the blanket that was on me.

She told me I didn't need to be nervous
I really wasn't.

But I really don't like blood/needles.
And
Stacey, read past this part....

She did another and everything went well.

I was ready for surgery.
Seriously within minutes.

They told me that they were rushing because they
were ready for me.

Everything happened so fast.
I didn't have time to feel nervous.
It felt like a dream.

Once I was ready she started wheeling me out of the room.
Only to find out they weren't actually quite ready.
So I waited half in the hallway/half outside the hallway.
For about twenty minutes or so.

Dr. Larson, the anesthesiologist,
Came and introduced himself.

He was very nice and I felt very safe and confident in him.
He wheeled me into the operating room,
Where I met Rachel and 2 other nurses, whose names I can't remember.

The music was loud.
But I liked it.
They were listening to Josh Groban.
I liked this because it made me think of Glee.
And I love Glee.

I told Dr. Larson I needed to tell Dr. Todd something.
Would he be in the room before I was out.
He said yes, but I told Dr. Larson what I wanted to tell
Dr. Todd, which was smart because that was the last thing I remember.

I woke up in recovery and the nurse kept telling me I was in recovery.
That is the weirdest feeling.
I was trying so hard to keep my eyes open but it just wasn't happening.

She kept telling me to cough.
This was difficult to do.

The next thing I remember was seeing
My Aunt Tonya.

I was so glad she came to be with me.
She took such good care of me.

I slept and slept and slept some more.
They checked my vitals every 15 minutes.

I heard little bits and pieces of conversations but not much.
Tonya brought herself lunch and watched Julie and Julia.
What a smarty.

Dr. Todd told Tonya that my gallbladder was very
Scarred and had lots of adhesions.

I was glad to hear this because I knew I had a problem,
But all the tests came back negative.

The timing worked out great.
Things seriously just fell into place.

I am so grateful for everyone who rearranged their
Schedules to make this happen.

Although I am in some pain,
I seriously already feel like a new woman
And it can only get better from here.

Tonya brought me home and on my bedroom door
Stacey, Pearl and Violet had made this

I love it!

I hope this makes sense. It's a little on the late side.
And I'm drugged.

I'm so glad this is taken care of.
I'm so grateful for such a wonderful family
And so many wonderful friends.

I am one very blessed girl.

P.S. Here are some thing I found funny on the Surgery Instruction Sheet

Before Surgery:
2. Please shower or bathe and brush your teeth before you come
to the hospital on the day of your surgery.

After Surgery:
3. For your own safety as well as others, you MAY NOT DRIVE yourself home
after your surgery. A responsible adult MUST drive you home. Please make these
arrangements before you arrive for surgery. NO EXCEPTIONS.

P.S.S. Thank you Stacey for introducing me to my muumuu.
I don't know what I would do without it.
It is so wonderful!

P.S.S.S. Thanks Kelly and Stacey for bringing up your recliner.

It's been a life saver!

How about tomorrow?

I've been having a lot of abdominal pain lately.

As long as I can remember I've had
nausea, dizziness and fatigue.

But lately things have gotten worse.
And I've been having a lot
sharp pain, tenderness, and tightness.

And I've been throwing up
Which I never do.

Gallbladder disease runs in the family.
My great Grandpa.
My Grandma.
My 3 aunts.
My Mom.
My sister.
All have had their gb's out.

I had an ultrasound and hidascan,
Both came back negative

But seriously I know it's my gb.

I met with Dr. Sam Wilson
(He is the family doctor)
He said he was pretty certain this is what is going on.
And hee referred me to Dr. Todd.
I met with him today.

I told him my family history
And my symptoms.

He said "Lets take it out. How about tomorrow?"
I said yes. If I could work a few things out.

I went over to the hospital and pre-registered.
They did some blood work.
The nurse told me that I would be in very good hands.
It made me feel good.

I was able to get work off.
Have Shay take over my dog and house sitting I'm supposed to be doing.
(I am going to write an entire post on how amazing she is)
And finish up some other things.

This has gone really smooth.
So smooth I'm not even sure what to think.

Except for that this was supposed to happen.
Just like this.

So goodbye gallbladder.
I can't wait to get you out of me.
And to start feeling better.

P.s. I am so grateful to everyone for rearranging their schedules,
So that this can happen.

What a blessing.

Wish me luck!
