Blythe, this one is for you!

Blythe, Bria, Tonya and I realized how long it had been since we had played jump rope.  Oh my goodness... it was so sad but funny.  While hanging out, Blythe wanted to jump rope so we all decided to do it.  One problem the rope was really short.  I'm going to say that is why it was so difficult.  It would have nothing to do with being in shape, right?  Hey Bria just a heads up, the pantry is right behind you...

Louisiana!

I had a wonderful opportunity to go spend 2 weeks with my Gramma in "Paradise." We had so much fun hanging out.  We spent lots of time on her wonderful porch.  We watched Turner Classic Movies (TCM) and the History channel.  We spent a great amount of time talking about what is going on in the world and always had the globe handy.  We ate chocolate ice cream every night, drank Coke in the glass bottles.  We saw deer and wild geese out in her lawn. We went on her golf cart and drove around.  It was amazing!  I will never forget it!This is my Gramma's house!  I love this sight!

Aunt Camille, Natalie and me...same story.  Thanks Aunt Camille!  I had so much fun with you and Natalie!  Driving in the bug with the top down listening to great music, amazing shakes from Chick-fil-a, lunch at Coffee Rani, shopping, and of course plenty of catching up!  What a great trip!  I can't wait to go back down!  I love it so much there!

Rainbow Rock

I realized my love for art in High School.  I didn't really know that I was capable of creating things in this way until my art class my Junior year.  After graduating, I stopped drawing and it wasn't until November that I really felt like I needed to create something.  I never used oil paint in High School, really my favorite medium was pencil.  I was a little familiar with acryllic but really didn't know much about oil but felt I should give it a shot.  Last April my mom and I had a chance to visit my sister Shelly in Hawaii!  It was  a wonderful trip...  Her backyard had a cliff and the ocean of course.  It was amazing there was also this rock called Rainbow Rock, I'm not exactly sure where that name came from but it was so beautiful.  I painted this is November as a birthday present for Shelly.  After all these months I am finally posting it.  I know that it is no where near what I wanted it to look like but I usually have pretty ridiculous expectations for myself.  Happy late birthday Shell!  I loved every minute in Hawaii and especially Rainbow Rock well and of course the wonderful food....

After a very rainy day at Disneyland I  changed into my pj's and slept until about 11 the next day.  Man did I feel old.  I just keep telling myself it was the wetness...
My foot.  I know this is a horribly taken picture.  I was just so tired I knew that I had to document a picture of my foot and this is all that I have...My shoes (converse sneakers) soaked all the way through and my feet were wet for 77% of the day.

Just a little disclaimer...I love disneyland and had so much fun I just only have kind of sad pictures because it was rainy.  It really was such a wonderful day.  Rainy days at Disneyland mean no lines!  Boy that is definitely important when you go for only one day!  

Healing Arts Bodywork

I recently opened a massage therapy practice.  I'm very excited about it, I haven't had a lot of business yet but I do have to start somewhere.  I found this great space on Main street and it really is perfect.  It's a big room, well bigger than anything I would ever need.  It has great energy, I still can't believe that it is my office.  Another great thing, I control the temperature which is really nice when doing bodywork.  I'm excited for things to pick up but in the meantime I'm just excited that I'm finally doing what I love and actually getting paid for it!

Three Year Anniversary

Today marks the three year anniversary of when I broke my back (compression fractures L1 and L3).  It seems so crazy that it's been 3 years.  It's gone by fast and sometimes not so fast.  It was my first time sneaking out and it really was one of the craziest but exciting things I have ever done.  Although it was night time it was so bright because of the full moon.  It was so beautiful.  It was really peaceful.  Even though the night didn't end with the best of circumstance, it was a night I'll never forget and I'm sure that Danny, Dave, Lisa and Justin won't soon forget.  I was very lucky that nothing worse happened.  I walked out of that situation and looking back I can't believe how lucky I am, or actually how blessed.  I went sledding again for the first time since the accident about a month ago and nothing happened but I was really nervous, it's such an adrenaline rush though.  I went with Cameron, Bre, Tom, And Bre's cute friend and her husband who is from South African and has such a great accent.  We went sledding at the Sugarhouse Park.  We did all sorts of crazy trains and Cam and Tom did do some pretty crazy things.  Luckily no one was hurt, with the exception of some bruises...  I do think that my sledding days are soon to be over though.  I never realized how many tragedies occur with sledding I remember hearing so many at the hospital when I told them what I was doing and ever since people sharing stories or hearing about them on the news like the girl who was killed just a few days ago.  It's so sad that something that is just a fun winter sport can turn out to be a event that you will never forget.
